Who can Foster?
All sorts of people can become good foster carers. Often, the best carers are those who simply understand that life is not always straightforward. Sometimes we experience difficult and challenging situations, it’s having the strength to overcome these situations that counts.
We will welcome your application whether you are single, married, living with a partner, in a civil partnership or divorced. We do not discriminate on grounds of gender, race, religion, culture, sexuality, or disability. What matters is that you can meet the needs of the children and young people in your care and work as part of a team.
Foster carers must be over 21 years old and live in settled accommodation with at least one spare bedroom. Carers do not need to own their own home but would need the consent of any landlords if renting.
