1st Affinity Fostering Services are committed to providing a careful matching process to ensure that the needs of the children and young people are met by the skills and experience of our foster carers.
We are a responsive fostering service offering short term, medium and long term placements tailored to meet your specific needs, timescales and cost structure.
We believe our foster placements will meet the needs of some of the most challenging children and young people in your care, particularly those that may need to be placed outside their immediate communities. This can often include children sexually exploited, groomed and abused by local men from whom they need distance and safety and those in gangs who also need time away from their communities.
Our fostering service can also be a stepping-stone from residential care towards rehabilitation back to the placing local authority. Our alliance with residential providers offers a continuum of provision and opportunity for joint work in planning, transition and placements of children.
We are committed to collaborative working by our staff and foster carers with local authority social workers in pursuit of positive outcomes for the children and young people. We value collaboration with the local authority commissioner’s decision on placement choice and location.
